The enlarged, enhanced Contact Theatre reopened to the public in September 2021
Contact leads the way in putting young people in control – they drive strategy, decision making and creative ideas. Along with extraordinary new live performance, the theatre’s work includes empowering young, local artists to lead creative projects in their communities; enabling young entrepreneurs to imagine and create viable social enterprises; and hosting vital conversations about life, illness, intimacy and why anything matters at all.
Contact urgently needed enhanced spaces to host all this activity. I worked with them from 2015 to plan and implement the early stages of the capital fundraising campaign, until a skilled fundraising team took the reins in late 2017. The £7m redeveloped theatre has just reopened.
